Supportive Housing Program Resident Advisor /p
SAFE Alliance seeks a Supportive Housing Program Resident Advisor for the Residential & Support Services Program in the Family and Supportive Housing & Rapid Rehousing department. The primary responsibilities of the Supportive Housing Program Resident Advisoris to Document lease and/or rules violations in client files, shift notes, and provide timely documentation to Resident Services Manager.
Coordinate the stocking and distribution of the SHP Food Pantry and the stocking and distribution of the SHP Basic Needs Closet.
pIn the past two years, our community outreach and education has provided over 400 trainings to over 7,000 community members. Our various housing and shelter programs have provided over 46,000 nights/days of care and served over 3,000 youth and adults directly affected by abuse. We have provided over 10,000 callers/chats/texts, walk-in advocacy and crisis interventions or face-to-face emotional support through our 24/7 confidential SAFEline.
pNo matter what your role at SAFE Alliance you will make a difference, because together we can Stop Abuse For Everyone. pWe are looking for one person to work on a Full-time, non-exempt basis for an hourly salary of $20.00-$24.00 dependent upon experience and an additional hourly language differential of $1.73 for those who are English/Spanish bilingual. The work location will be based at our Grove Blvd.
Campus in the East Austin area. This position will include some travel in the community or between campuses with no ability for remote/hybrid work. The shift currently available is Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Essential Staff position pThis position is an essential staff position. Essential staff are required to report to work during inclement weather conditions, working under the direction of your immediate supervisor, to ensure adequate shelter front desk staff coverage.
When the designation of inclement weather conditions is made by AISD, you may be required to stay beyond your scheduled shift, come in earlier than your scheduled shift to ensure coverage, or delay coming in for scheduled shift until if/when weather permits RA staff (him or her) to do so safely.

Required Qualifications ul liHigh School Diploma or GED required. liSpanish speaking preferred. liThe ability to problem-solve and defuse crisis under pressure.
liMust have good organizational skills. liModel being resilient by demonstrating coping skills and de-escalation techniques. liBe capable of sitting and standing for extended periods of time, as well as be able to intermittently push, pull, or lift 50+lbs. of force. liOne to two years crisis intervention experience preferred. liKnowledge of issues and systems related to domestic violence, sexual abuse, human trafficking, child abuse and homelessness preferred.
liThis position requires driving. You must have a valid, State of Texas Driver's License (If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver's License within 90 days of beginning employment.) AND at least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age AND an acceptable driving record that covers at least the last three years of driver history.
