Job Description & How to Apply Below

Core Values:

We Are Lion-Hearted: We thrive together as a team and in a community. Our network is our superpower, so we look to always invest in long-term relationships, built on integrity, empathy and authenticity.

We Are Fiercely Inspired: The privilege of this opportunity and the people we share it with inspire us all. We are fiercely committed to realizing our potential and relentless in pursuit of winning big.

We Are Growth-Minded: Our evolution is essential to continue thriving. We are committed to pushing our limits, learning, growing and evolving because this is what makes for a great life experience.

About This Role:

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll be a technical lead on a small, high-impact squad. You’ll own end-to-end delivery of complex experiences—from discovery and design partnering to architecture, implementation, quality, and observability. You’ll raise the bar on performance, accessibility, and developer experience while mentoring others and shaping our frontend standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own features from idea → shipped → iterated: collaborate with PM/Design, write crisp technical plans, instrument usage, and refine fast.
  • Build excellent UIs in React + Type Script with component composition, state management best practices, and clean data-fetching patterns.
  • Champion quality: establish test strategies (unit, integration, E2E), add meaningful types, storybook docs, a11y checks, and performance budgets.
  • Improve the platform: evolve our design system, routing, auth flows, error handling, caching, and offline-ready experiences.
  • Instrument & observe: add telemetry (metrics, logs, traces) to understand UX, reliability, and performance in production.
  • Collaborate across the stack: shape API contracts with backend engineers; contribute to build tooling and CI/CD where needed.
  • Mentor & multiply: give incisive code reviews, share patterns, and help level-up the team’s frontend craft.
Skill Set:

These are the primary skills we're looking for to drive success in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Ability to come in to our Austin office at least one day per week
  • 5+ years building production web apps with React + Type Script (or equivalent modern framework) and strong fundamentals in HTML/CSS.
  • Proven experience shipping complex, data-heavy products with excellent UX, a11y (WCAG 2.2 AA), and web performance (Core Web Vitals).
  • Comfort designing component APIs, state management (e.g., React Query/Tan Stack, Zustand/Redux), and routing for multi-view apps.
  • Fluency integrating REST APIs, handling auth, optimistic updates, and error/retry semantics.
  • Pragmatic testing (Jest/Vitest, Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress), and familiarity with Storybook or equivalent docs.
  • Strong product sense, communication, and ownership; you bias to outcomes and collaborative iteration.
Benefits & Perks:

Whether it’s Wednesday lunch in our offices, company-wide offsites or quarterly volunteering opportunities, we are always looking for ways to keep our employees happy and engaged with their teammates, whether your work schedule is hybrid or fully remote. Our benefits include:

  • World class medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Participation in the employee stock option program
  • Flexible Time Off Policy
  • Ability to participate in our 401k
  • Company paid Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance
  • Monthly technical allowance
  • Getting in close to the ground floor of an incredibly high-growth business
  • Substantial internal growth opportunities and emphasis on personal & professional development

We value diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do. It is our policy to provide equal opportunity to all people without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, veteran status, age, disability, pregnancy, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected category.
