In this role, you can expect to:

• Design, write, and deliver software that improves Cloudflare's Internal and External platforms
• Scale and evolve systems through software and automation to improve reliability and velocity
• Work on highly distributed and scalable systems with a globally distributed team

• Research and introduce cutting‑edge technologies

You will build services and APIs to constantly improve availability, performance, uptime and response times. The ideal candidates will have experience working with large‑scale applications and a track record of producing great output. You must care deeply not only about the quality of your and the team's code, but also the user experience.

• We want someone who understands and obsesses over front‑end systems.
• Passion for improving developer experience and increasing development velocity.
• Strong knowledge of UI infrastructure, CI/CD, and testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).
• Proven ability to drive projects independently, from concept to implementation.

• Expertise in React, Type Script, and modern front‑end systems
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with backend software development in Go
• Experience building and maintaining integration test suites with API mocks
• Experience building and scaling large‑scale web applications.

Project Galileo :
Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers—at no cost.

Athenian Project
:
In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.
