We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our small but growing engineering team. A great candidate will demonstrate competency in full‑stack development, maintain an Express + Mongo backend, work with ORMs, and design RESTful APIs. This role offers the opportunity to influence product, workflow, and engineering principles as the product scales nationally. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in product development, data engineering, and systems architecture, especially for B2B solutions.

Our platform helps home service businesses attract new customers by showcasing their work through websites and widgets. The stack is primarily Type Script and React with a MERN backend. We focus on keeping the codebase evergreen, applying best practices, and balancing stability with developer usability.

We have a straightforward interview process that takes less than four hours in total. We avoid take‑home assessments and algorithm exercises. Applicants may showcase something they’ve built instead.

• Define and refine product requirements with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Convert behavioral and UX specifications into technical requirements and scopes, and lead a development team to execute them.
• Hands‑on coding experience; professional background building products with Type Script, React, Node.js, and Mongo
  
  DB.
• Integrate third‑party APIs with best practices around error handling and reporting.
• Experience with UI component libraries (e.g., Material‑UI/MUI).
• Familiarity with modern build tool chains (e.g., Webpack, Vite).
• Use of AI developer tools in daily engineering tasks.
• Preferred: experience building products in a startup environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
