We’re looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to join our team and help enhance large‑scale healthcare systems. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting applications that impact programs serving individuals with long‑term care needs and intellectual or developmental disabilities. As part of our Business Automation Support (BAS) team, you’ll work on improving system integrations, vendor‑supported applications, and web services that keep our healthcare platforms running smoothly.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java‑based applications and web services
- Review user requests and translate them into technical solutions
- Evaluate system compatibility, cost, and feasibility for new enhancements
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand processes and clarify objectives
- Build and improve online portals and workflows for service authorization and claims processing
- Support integrations, batch processing, and enterprise‑wide applications
- Participate in testing, quality assurance, and defect resolution
- Lead or contribute to design and code reviews
- Apply structured analysis, object‑oriented design, and software development best practices
- Work independently on complex projects and mentor junior developers
You’ll support automation projects focused on:
- Adding new forms to online portals for service requests
- Enhancing workflows for service authorization and claims processing
- Ensuring systems comply with federal and state rules
- Experience: 8+ years in Java/J2EE development, SQL, web services, and object‑oriented programming
- Technical
Skills:
Proficient in Web Sphere, RAD, Oracle or relational databases, system integration, and testing - Collaboration: Able to work with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver solutions
- Problem‑Solving: Comfortable analyzing user requests, designing solutions, and implementing complex systems
- Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare systems or government programs
- Make an impact on healthcare services for individuals with long‑term care needs
- Work on challenging projects with the latest technologies
- Collaborate with a supportive, experienced team
