In this pivotal role, you will lead technical initiatives, guiding teams in the delivery of highly scalable and reliable applications. You will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing a critical authentication solution, ensuring it meets the demands of a high‑volume transaction system. Collaborating closely with Solution and Platform Architects, you will ensure all implementations adhere to robust architectural designs and established standards.

This role champions engineering excellence, advocating for agile practices, high software quality, and continuous improvement across development, coding, testing, and automation standards. You will also have the opportunity to coach and mentor creative and passionate teammates, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

• Lead and guide technical teams in the successful delivery of highly scalable and reliable applications, meeting business objectives and timelines.
• Drive the development and enhancement of a best‑in‑class authentication solution for a high‑volume transaction system, capable of handling peak demands.
• Partner with Solution and Platform Architects to ensure all technical implementations align with strategic architecture and design principles.
• Champion and augment platform principles, guidelines, and standards across development teams.
• Act as a strong advocate for software agility, quality standards, and engineering excellence within an agile environment.
• Promote and implement agile practices to enhance delivery speed and responsiveness.
• Coach, mentor, and support talented engineers across multiple teams, fostering their growth and development.
• Establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to rigorous development, coding, testing, and automation standards.

• Proven experience in software design for building applications capable of handling thousands of transactions per second with 99.999% availability, integrating with multiple internal and external applications.
• Demonstrated experience in resolving complex problems in high‑stress and time‑critical situations, such as production issues.
• Strong understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth and SAML.
• Expertise in JavaScript and related frameworks, with a preference for Angular.
• Proficiency in Java development.
• Extensive experience with web application development, with a preference for consumer‑facing applications.
• Hands‑on experience with gateway technologies, such as Spring Cloud or similar solutions.
• Strong background in designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Proficiency with testing automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Karma, Cucumber, BDD frameworks).
