GEICO is seeking an experienced Engineer with a passion for building high‑performance, low‑maintenance, zero‑downtime platforms and applications. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co‑creating a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.

As a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team, collaborating across the organization to design and deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions to complex problems. You will play a critical role in driving innovation, leveraging automation, and ensuring efficient data management. In a fast‑paced, dynamic environment you will plan, prioritize, and execute large‑scale projects while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

• Design and develop scalable, resilient distributed systems.
• Define product requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Lead and mentor by conducting design sessions, code reviews, and sharing best practices.
• Develop reusable application components and patterns to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications, including front‑end features using React
  
  JS and related technologies, and back‑end services with .NET or Java frameworks, with efficient data management using SQL and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless communication between systems.
• Implement Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Publish and maintain documentation for design references, workflows, and runbooks.
• Provide support for critical systems, including 24x7 on‑call support when necessary.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in large‑scale enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of experience with React
  
  JS and its core principles (Redux, Hooks).
• 4+ years of experience with backend technologies, including .NET (C#) and Java.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with RESTful services and APIs.
• Experience with open‑source frameworks and tools.
• Hands‑on experience designing and architecting scalable systems.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in large‑scale enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Expertise in React
  
  JS and its ecosystem (Redux, Hooks).
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Java, ASP.NET Core, Spring Boot, or similar.
• Proficiency in working with SQL and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles.
• Ability to work with nested data structures like JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Golang, or Power Shell is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience.

Annual Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, training, work location, market, and business considerations, influence the final offer.
