Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Software Engineer (IC3)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers mission‑critical applications for top tier enterprises worldwide. In the Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization, we support customer choice, transparency, and value for cloud infrastructure. We are building a new platform that includes low‑level runtimes, application management, and high‑level workflows to empower OCI developers to focus on building innovative services at cloud scale.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, build, and hand off new OCI services.
• Define and improve standard practices and procedures for the next generation OCI Service Platform.
• Design, specify, and develop software for new projects, and perform tasks related to development and debugging of applications or operating systems.
• Challenge engineering assumptions and bring expertise in highly performant, reliable software.

• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong grasp of computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems).
• Experience with Java and building/operating software as a service.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance‑tuning skills.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and scalable, reliable workflows is a plus.
• Collaborative, cross‑functional teamwork.
• Preferably OCI experience.
