Diligent Robotics is searching for a Robotics Software Engineer to help develop our robot’s core software and navigation capabilities. As a Robotics Software Engineer you will ensure that Moxi is able to safely and autonomously operate in complex hospital environments. The ideal candidate is self‑driven, passionate, and has experience with C++ and ROS. They also have a strong track record of systems integration.

This person thrives in a fast‑paced development environment and has the ability to make rapid decisions. You can deal with ambiguous situations, remove obstacles and aren’t afraid to dive in and read the code.

• Develop and integrate core robotics software.
• Build on existing behavior systems for task‑management and problem solving.
• Participate in production on‑call support rotations.

• 5+ years of experience developing production software for robotics in C++ and Python.
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).

• Experience with indoor localization and mapping.
• Experience with 3D sensors for navigation and world modeling.
• Experience with navigation around people.
• Experience with the design of robust behavior systems for robots.
• Experience with classical perception and computer vision algorithms.
• Experience with numerical optimization techniques, especially with regard to calibration or motion planning.
