Position Overviewclient is seeking an experienced Software Engineer 3 to support the IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team. This senior-level position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise RPA solutions using technologies such as Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment.
The contractor will perform solution design, bot development, testing, troubleshooting, infrastructure coordination, and ongoing optimization of automated processes.

Additional Job Details and Special ConsiderationsThe Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the service of Software Engineer 3 position who meets the general qualifications of Software Engineer 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the above-named customer. The Software Engineer 3 contractor position is part of the IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining RPA solutions.
The Software Engineer 3 will perform developer duties that will include solution design and development, process automations, infrastructure management, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The contractor role is for a senior robotics developer for technologies that may include Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure. The role will be responsible for developing, testing, and troubleshooting bots that will automate various business processes.
Hands-on experience with Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure is a must along with the ability to troubleshoot and validate HTTP responses. Knowledge of DOM, HTTP protocol, JavaScript, and HTML is also required. This will be a fast-paced project working in an Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment.
- 8 years required hands-on experience with RPA development, with at least 4 years specifically using Blue Prism.
- 8 years required experience with web development including HTML, JavaScript, DOM and HTTP protocol.
- 8 years required experience with SQL/No-SQL databases.
- 8 years required experience with RESTful web services.
- 4 years preferred experience with API development.
- 4 years preferred experience with process discovery, requirements gathering, and solution architecture.
- 4 years preferred proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- 3 years preferred experience with Azure infrastructure including troubleshooting.
- 3 years preferred experience with software development using Agile methodology.
- 1 year preferred experience with Power Automate development.
- 1 year preferred Blue Prism certification.
- 1 year preferred Microsoft Power Platform Developer certification.
- 1 year preferred prior experience supporting Health and Human Services and OIG.
