Blueberry is building the 1:1 marketer for the world’s most ambitious brands. The way brands engage with customers is fundamentally shifting. In the early days, founders reply to every comment, DM every follower, and know customers by name. But as audiences grow into the hundreds of thousands or millions, that intimacy breaks. Even with social managers, no team can authentically know every follower — so brands default to 1:many channels like mass email, SMS, and generic posts.

At Blueberry, we’re rebuilding that intimacy  product performs deep research on social followers, enables brands to authentically engage through personalized DMs, and delivers the perfect offer tailored to each customer at exactly the right moment. What once felt impossible — knowing every follower by name and why they care about your brand— is now achievable.

In under 3 months, we're live with 10+ customers — including NBA teams, and several 8- and 9-figure direct-to-consumer (DTC) companies..

We’re backed by Pear VC (first checks into Doordash, Dropbox, and Gusto) and Founders, Inc. Now, we’re hiring the founding team that will scale Blueberry across the world’s largest brands.

Brands with millions of followers rely on Blueberry to authentically engage their customers  our Founding Engineer, you’ll be a co-architect of everything we build ’ll be responsible for shaping the technical foundation of the company: product, platform, and team culture.

You’ll work directly with the founders and Founding Designer to:

• Build and scale the core product that enables brands to authentically engage millions of followers.
  Make foundational architecture and stack decisions that allow us to move fast today while preparing for global scale tomorrow.

• Translate customer needs into elegant, resilient technical systems that balance speed, quality, and reliability.

• Set the tone for our engineering culture — one that is high-caliber, collaborative, and deeply product-minded.

You’ll have massive influence over how Blueberry evolves, from the codebase to the customer experience to the engineering org itself.

Tech Stack:
Convex, Next.js, AI SDK, and more

• Build core product features end-to-end. Ship high-impact functionality across our stack that helps the fastest-growing DTC brands engage millions of followers through authentic 1:1 interactions.

• Lay the technical foundation. Make key architecture, infra, and stack decisions that enable both rapid iteration today and enterprise-grade reliability tomorrow.

• Work directly with customers. Join product conversations, translate customer pain points into elegant technical solutions, and ship fast iterations that drive real outcomes for some of the fastest growing brands in the world.

• Collaborate deeply with design. Partner with our Founding Designer to bring polished, high-quality user experiences to life, ensuring the product feels as good as it works.

• Shape engineering culture. Establish coding standards, best practices, and processes that will scale as we grow — from CI/CD to testing to monitoring.

• Experiment and learn fast. Prototype new features, evaluate new technologies, and help us stay at the edge of what’s possible in AI-powered product engineering.

• A full-stack engineer with 3+ years of experience in AI, SaaS, or consumer apps
• You use the latest and greatest in AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)

• You move fast, take initiative, and care deeply about doing things right.
• You don’t just point out problems — you roll up your sleeves and solve them.
• You bring a clear point of view on what excellence looks like, while staying collaborative and low-ego (this is incredibly important across every team member).
• You’re your own toughest critic and hold yourself to an exceptionally high bar—90% isn’t good enough

• Entrepreneurial at heart: you thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly, and want to shape something from the ground up.

• Prior startup or founding team experience.
• Visual and content design expertise alongside UI/UX talent
• Experience with social media APIs…
