Salary: $85.00 USD Hourly – $90.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Cloud-Native Java Architect

Location: Austin, TX 78751 (3 days On-site Mon, Wed, Thu; Remote Tue, Fri)

Duration: 8 months contract with possibility of extension

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in Core Java (Java EE, Spring Boot, Microservices frameworks).
• 8 years of experience in cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.

Technical

Skills:

• Cloud/Dev Ops: AWS or Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible.
• Architecture: 12-Factor App methodology, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-driven architecture (Kafka/Rabbit
  
  MQ).
• Data & APIs: REST, Graph
  
  QL, Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-native Java architectures for enterprise‑scale applications.
• Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
• Drive adoption of best practices in microservices, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy.
