Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi‑tenant cloud environment. Our Object Storage Service team is looking for hands‑on engineers passionate about solving difficult problems in distributed systems, large‑scale storage, and highly available services. • Lead the software design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service.
• Own architectural decisions with performance in mind and leverage hardware acceleration where possible.
• Collaborate in a collaborative, agile environment with distributed teams.

• 10+ years of experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Proven experience in Java or C++ languages.
• Familiar with scripting languages like Python.
• In‑depth knowledge of Linux kernel and networking protocols.
• Strong understanding of system performance and hardware acceleration.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Knowledge of databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience building multi‑tenant infrastructure is a strong plus.
