Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Web Developer at Espy, you will be part of a small but growing team responsible for creating state‑of‑the‑art systems that provide critical signals intelligence to government customers. You will work with other engineers to enhance, test, and maintain a NodeJS/React software stack that interfaces with our core products that records high‑bandwidth signal data for long‑term digital storage.

You will design web applications that help our customers visualize and understand complex signal environments. You will keep up with the latest advances in radio sensor equipment, computing hardware, operating systems, DSP techniques, machine learning, and other software technologies.

  • Design, implement, and test JavaScript/Type Script software in a Node.js/React framework.
  • Coordinate with engineering team, field support team, and customers to design and prioritize new features and bug fixes.
  • Hands‑on testing and deployment support for world‑wide customers.
  • Stay current of industry advances and professional education, embrace the emergence of new technologies.
  • Work independently with sound professional judgment to overcome obstacles and complete tasks on time by leveraging collaboration, delegation, and leadership skills.
Qualifications Summary
  • Thorough understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, Type Script, React, Node.js, Mongo.
  • Passion for creating intuitive, elegant, and attractive user interfaces on the web.
  • Familiar with software development using Linux and Docker.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with teams to design effective user interfaces.
  • 5–8 years progressive experience as a software engineer, including a significant amount of full‑stack / web interface development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Experience with WebGL.
  • Experience with software management tools (Git, JIRA).
  • Experience with C++.
  • Familiarity with Rabbit

  • Preferred:
    Experience/passion for functional styles.
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with Machine Learning / Computer Vision.
  • Preferred:
    Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year.
