Neos is seeking a Sr Salesforce Developer for a long-term contract with our client in Austin, TX.
Only local candidates need apply; the position requires onsite 5 days per week.
ResponsibilitiesThe Salesforce Developer will support THECB's custom application development in Salesforce. This developer shall be responsible for working with a project team to modify custom applications built on the Salesforce platform. This work shall entail ensuring migration of applications from sandbox environments and the production environment. This will require ensuring version control of the applications and syncing data connections between the respective environments.
Regular change management and security scan processes will be observed for this effort. The selected Candidate will be required to comply with THECB's data security policy. Any and all development work shall be finally approved by team leadership to ensure consistent use of coding and security standards and long-term application support. Candidates must understand project organization and methodology within Agile (Scrum) organizations.
Developer must understand business and technical objectives of a project and work closely with multiple key project stakeholders. They shall contribute to project plans, status reports, and other related project artifacts, as necessary. They shall provide technical documentation, communication, and technical support as necessary. Candidates must be able to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations as well as complex business processes.
They shall participate in the development and execution of presentations as required to leadership and oversight entities.
- Configuring Salesforce (SFDC) applications, including but not limited to APEX classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SFDC Flows, REST API (Integration with other systems)
- Using Salesforce Developer console and Visual Studio.
- Conducting testing to verify logic and ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements.
- Completing complex project work, including troubleshooting and correcting coding errors/issues.
- Providing status updates on work assignments and any technical issues that present risk to project timeline as required by selected project framework.
- Having experience in Software Development Life Cycle.
- Ability to work in an agile software development environment.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Salesforce application development, using Salesforce Developer console and Visual Studio – required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – required
- Experience working complex projects throughout all development phases, ensuring timely completion within budget – required
- Ability to translate complex data and business requirements into actionable development backlog – required
- Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability in conflict resolution – required
- Experience working with user stories and tasks in Azure Dev Ops – required
- Experience working with confidential data and process implementation to provide information security – required

Experience working in Public Sector. - Preferred:
Experience working on an agile Scrum development team to evaluate user stories and size tasks. - Preferred:
Knowledge of common design practices, standards, and technologies associated with application accessibility (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508). - Preferred:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II.
