A well-established digital commerce and technology solutions company is seeking a Backend PHP Developer to support a long-term modernization initiative. This role focuses on transforming a legacy PHP application into a modern, cloud-native, microservices-based platform hosted on AWS. This position is fully onsite in Austin, TX and requires consistent in-office collaboration. Candidates must already reside in Texas and be able to commute daily.

• Modernize a legacy PHP monolith into domain-driven microservices
• Design and build backend services using PHP (Symfony preferred)
• Develop and maintain RESTful, API-first integrations
• Deploy and support services using AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Containerize applications using Docker and support orchestration
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with Dev Ops, Product, QA, and Analytics teams
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews

• 3+ years of backend development experience with PHP
• Experience with microservices architecture and API-driven systems
• Strong AWS cloud experience
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
