Insight Global is hiring a Sr. Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable software solutions for huge application initiatives on a tight timeline. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle—requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment—while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet business goals.

• Backend Development:
  Lead development and QA for backend services powering a portfolio rebalancing engine,
• Quality Assurance:
  Carry out QA/automated testing responsibilities (10‑15% of the role)
• Documentation:
  Keep technical guides accurate and up to date.
• Releases & Deployments:
  Coordinate smooth product releases into production.
• Data Analysis:
  Validate large datasets and extract insights for improvements.
• Code Review:
  Ensure code quality, standards, and best practices.
• Collaboration:
  
  Effectively leading a team of junior engineers
• Troubleshooting:
  Resolve complex issues and prevent downtime.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Stay current on trends and apply innovations to processes.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years in software development with strong skills in Go, Java, Postgres and Python (listed in order of importance)
• Expertise in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in AI concepts and practical use of AI tools and frameworks
• Proven experience leading large‑scale projects and setting technical direction
• Strong SQL skills for complex queries and performance optimization
• Ability to troubleshoot production systems and ensure reliability
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira

• Hands on experience with launching mobile applications to production
