Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning Accelerator Technology

Annapurna Labs, an organization within AWS Utility Computing (UC), designs silicon and software to accelerate innovation. Our custom chips, accelerators, and software stacks allow us to tackle technical challenges never seen before and deliver results that help customers change the world. The MLA Technology team seeks candidates to dive deep into the hardware technologies that power our Machine Learning servers and drive these technologies through software deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software related to machine learning hardware throughout the hardware life cycle.
  • Collaborate with silicon design and hardware design teams across EC2.
  • Write code that is maintainable, documented, tested, and reusable.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leader of an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience writing low‑level drivers or troubleshooting/debugging hardware.
