Software Engineer, C++ Developer

We are partnering with a globally recognised quantitative trading firm that is making a significant investment in expanding its US trading operations.

As part of this expansion, the firm is hiring exceptional C++ Software Engineers to join its growing Austin engineering team.

This is an opportunity to work in an environment where engineering excellence directly translates into business performance. You'll tackle complex technical challenges, build systems from the ground up and have genuine ownership over the technology you develop.

What you'll be working on:

• Designing and developing ultra-high-performance, low-latency systems in modern C++.
• Building core infrastructure supporting real-time market data, exchange connectivity and trading execution.
• Solving complex challenges involving concurrency, memory management, networking and system-level optimisation.
• Developing highly reliable, scalable systems where performance is measured in microseconds.
• Working closely with researchers, traders and other engineers to build and optimise production trading systems.
• Contributing to new engineering initiatives, with significant scope to influence architecture and technical direction.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of professional C++ development experience within quantitative trading, or 5+ years in another technically demanding environment.
• Exceptional understanding of C++, algorithms, data structures and computer science fundamentals.
• Experience building performance-critical software, whether in distributed systems, operating systems, embedded technology, compilers or low-level infrastructure.
• A strong engineering track record, demonstrating technical progression and ownership.
• Engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems and continuously pushing the boundaries of software performance.
