Position: Senior AI Product Engineer (opens in a new tab)
About the Role

We're looking for a Senior AI Product Engineer to own product areas from the customer's problem to shipped work. AI writes most of our code now, so the hard part has moved: deciding what to build, telling the AI exactly what that is, and judging whether it got it right.

You'll take a messy customer request, find the real problem, turn it into a clear ticket, have AI agents build it, and decide whether the result works for the center staff who use it every day, not only whether it runs. You won't write most of the code by hand, but you'll understand it well enough to know what's in it.

The role combines product and engineering.

You'll also lead our new group of AI product engineers, recent graduates who work together in Austin.

Key Responsibilities Product Ownership
  • Own product areas end to end: talk to customers and our care and billing experts, decide what to build, write the ticket, and ship it
  • Think past the ticket, including the empty state, the error message, and the center configured differently from the one you tested against
  • Decide which of those cases matter and write down why
Shipping with AI
  • Work with the AI agents that pick up tickets and take a first pass: answer their questions, review their output, and get the work over the line
  • Release more than five tickets a week to production, and check each one in production yourself
  • Keep the codebase consistent as more people and agents ship to it, and send back work that invents a pattern we don't use or rebuilds something we already have
Leading the New Graduates
  • Run the daily check-in for our new graduate AI product engineers
  • Do first-line review on their work
  • Teach them what "done" means here
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years in engineering, product, or both, having moved from one to the other: an engineer who moved into product, or a product manager who learned to build
  • Ownership of a product area, not only a backlog, with something you decided to build that you can explain
  • Able to open a pull request the AI wrote and explain what it does, where it lives, and why it was built that way
  • Able to tell when the AI has gone in the wrong direction, even when the code runs and the screens look fine
  • Knows roughly where to look when something breaks in production
  • Comfortable discussing trade-offs with our engineers, and telling a founder when an idea needs work
  • Builds with AI tools every day and checks their work
  • Clear writer, since most of this job happens in tickets, comments, and specs
Preferred
  • Experience with healthcare, compliance-heavy software, or B2B SaaS for operations teams
  • Experience with our stack:
Type Script, React, React Native, and Node on AWS
Work Environment
  • Remote (U.S.

    -based), full-time
  • Good overlap with Pacific and Central business hours
  • Occasional trips to Austin, where our new graduates work together in person
  • Engineering meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and everything else happens on the ticket
  • Output is measured weekly as tickets released to production, and everyone on the team sees the number
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary of $165,000 – $185,000, plus equity
  • Health Reimbursement (QSEHRA):
    • Up to $500/month (individual)
    • Up to $750/month (family)
  • PTO:
    Flexible, non-accrual policy (20–25 days/year encouraged)
  • A laptop and paid AI tools
Why Seniorverse
  • Real customers and real ownership from your first week
  • Work directly with our CEO, CTO, and Chief Product Officer
  • What you ship reaches real centers, often the same week
  • A senior seat on a small team
Interview Process
  • A one-minute video, submitted with your application
  • A 30-minute call with our CEO about who you are, what you want, and whether this pace fits your life
  • A review exercise: we give you a few real tickets and what was delivered for each, and you tell us what's right, what's missing, and what you'd ask. Then you write a ticket from a real customer request and walk us through all of it live. It takes about two and a half hours.
  • We decide within two weeks of receiving your video.

    About Seniorverse

Seniorverse is the software adult day centers run on: attendance, care tasks, medication records, billing, transportation, and state and Medicaid compliance, all in one platform. Adult day centers care for older adults during the day so their families can work. Most of them run on paper, spreadsheets, and software that wasn't built for them. We’re a small seed-stage team fixing that, one center at a time.

Seniorverse is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
