What You’ll Do

The Site Engineering & Reliability Leader is accountable for the leadership and management of the Engineering and Reliability organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project planning, development, construction, and modernization of the facility to achieve company goals in process safety, mechanical integrity, reliability, sustainability, and manufacturing.
  • Strategic oversight of engineering projects and coordination with other functions for full lifecycle management of capital projects.
  • Development and implementation of global engineering policies and procedures.
  • Implementation of a comprehensive Reliability strategy, including functional goals and a financial plan, leveraging maintenance, reliability, and turnaround work processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with EH&S, Mechanical Integrity, and other safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Administrative leadership of all engineering and reliability resources within the plant.
  • Oversee the development of an annual and 3‑year CAPEX budget aligned with maintenance/reliability strategy and upcoming turnaround cycles.
  • Accountable for meeting annual goals, KPI improvements, and asset reliability.
  • Lead engineering and reliability personnel in goal‑setting processes and foster a culture of reliability improvement.
  • Ensure safety, productivity, quality, and overall effectiveness of the engineering and reliability workforce.
  • Champion the use of Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Own engineering design standards and documentation.
  • Own capital planning and budgeting.
  • Lead engineering teams to drive standards and processes.
  • Manage complex projects and large teams with significant budgeting experience.
Skills That Make a Difference
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of operational experience in a chemical plant maintenance or reliability engineering role.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience with cross‑functional teams.
  • 3+ years of experience as a champion for change.
  • Detailed knowledge of maintenance and reliability work processes and reliability strategies.
  • Experience with applicable building codes such as NFPA‑NEC, API, or ASME certifications.
  • Broad experience across engineering disciplines and complex projects, including substantial budgeting responsibilities.
  • Project Engineering experience in chemical processing and facilities, with design, construction, and commissioning.
Considered a Plus
  • Advanced degree in Engineering.
  • Completion of a leadership development training program.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
