Dewberry is seeking a Water/Wastewater Electrical Engineer (W/WW) to join our MEPS Infrastructure group in our Nashville, TN office. The successful candidate should have experience specifying, designing, and implementing electrical power systems for Water/Wastewater projects. This position has the potential to develop and lead a group of water/wastewater electrical engineers and will report to the MEPS Infrastructure Department Manager.

Responsibilities- Provide electrical power system engineering and design for the W/WW projects.
- Design opportunities include low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout, and related systems.
- Provide electrical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Review and approve contractor submittals.
- Sizing conduit and wire, laying out electrical distribution equipment, and designing lighting systems.
- Coordinate with instrumentation and controls engineers and other disciplines to successfully execute electrical designs.
- BS in electrical engineering.
- 5-10 years of design experience in Water/Wastewater projects or WW/W operation experience.
- PE or ability to obtain within 1 year required.
- Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive, and determination.
- Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Life Safety Codes, and other related codes.
- Good verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines and client interface.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass a driving record background check.
