Registered Respiratory Therapist

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a top Healthcare client. This core clinical role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, consistent with state and specialty standards. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, with a focus on monitoring and managing patients receiving both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

• Perform and meticulously document patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to accurately evaluate the need for, and the patient's response to, prescribed respiratory therapy
• Administer a full range of respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation, and assist with the safe placement of artificial airways
• Monitor patient therapeutic response, promptly notifying the provider and intervening appropriately in the event of an unintended response
• Respond immediately to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation
• Assist with the safe transportation of ventilator-dependent patients within the hospital environment

• Completion of an accredited respiratory care program (implied by licensure/certification requirements)

• Prior experience in acute care or critical care settings is strongly preferred (implied by ventilation and emergent response duties)

• Respiratory Therapist / Practitioner (RRT / RCP-State) credential is required
• Candidates with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential will be considered
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
