Environmental Specialist III with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Fruit Vegetables Bureau of Field Services. This professional intermediate-level position coordinates and implements agricultural components of the Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) programs, delivering Best Management Practices (BMP) to commercial growers and farms. The role involves on-site irrigation system evaluations, data collection, database management, and coordination with multiple state and local agencies.
Keyqualifications
- High school diploma and 2 years experience in agriculture or environmental science
- OR 1.5 years experience as Environmental Specialist I or higher with State of Florida
- OR bachelor's degree in agriculture or environmental science with 6 months experience
- Valid Class E driver license required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on rough terrain in inclement weather
- Frequent travel required
