Position Overview:
The Development Coordinator is a highly organized, detail‑oriented professional who provides essential administrative and logistical support to the Development Team. This position is a full‑time year‑round position that will report to the Development Manager. The role plays a vital part in the success of the department by supporting all aspects of fundraising and stewardship events, including our signature gala, A Taste of Nature, EdVentures and Holiday Open House, and taking a lead on the gala’s live and online auction.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, problem solver who enjoys working both behind the scenes and donor‑facing to ensure that every interaction and event is executed with success.
- Extremely well organized with the ability to efficiently multi‑task.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, an upbeat attitude and a calm, professional demeanor.
- Ability to interact with donors and prospects with a “hospitality mindset”.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite along with the proficiencies necessary to quickly utilize Bloomerang (donor database).
- Effective collaborator, when working across departments, including Development, Programs, Marketing, and Finance, along with outside vendors and partners.
- Attention to detail, timelines and related deadlines.
