What You’ll DoAs a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative care team dedicated to supporting infants, children, teens, and their families. You’ll create a warm, welcoming environment while helping ensure each child receives compassionate, high-quality care.
Your impact includes:- Taking vitals and documenting patient history in a kid-friendly, family-centered way
- Assisting providers with pediatric exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures
- Performing venipunctures, injections, and other delegated clinical tasks
- Supporting developmental screenings and routine well-child checks
- Maintaining clear communication with parents and caregivers
- Coordinating patient flow to keep visits smooth and low-stress
- Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready for curious little visitors
- Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and Vail Health values
- 2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred—pediatric experience a plus
- Skills in venipuncture, injections, and basic clinical procedures
- Certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, or related role
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric setting
- Tech-savvy with EHR systems and general computer skills
- A warm, patient, family-centered approach to care
- CNA or EMT $22.00 – $28.39
- Certified MA $23.20 – $31.00
- LPN, RN, Paramedic $25.47 – $35.98
