Primary Job FunctionsProvide supplemental instructional support to multilingual learners under the direction of the ML and classroom teachers in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing to improve language acquisition.
Responsibilities- Provide supplemental instructional support to multilingual learners under the direction of the ML and classroom teachers in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing to improve language acquisition.
- Supervises ML students and assists them with self-help and behavioral management skills.
- Recognizes achievement, effort, and positive attributes of students.
- Assists the ML and classroom teachers with lesson material preparation.
- Communicates effectively with teachers and other staff.
- Attends meetings, workshops, and training sessions as directed.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Lane: ASST-F - Hourly pay starting at $18.25.
Job Status:
Part-Time (29 hours per week)
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:15am - 1:30pm
Assigned Workdays Per Year: 181 days (School Year Days)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
