About Damar
Employees at Damar aren’t just part of a workforce — they’re part of a mission-driven team making a real difference in people’s lives. Since 1967, Damar has been recognized across Indiana as one of the largest not-for-profit organizations and a leading provider of behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) services. We foster a united, purpose-driven culture where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to give their best.
It’s no surprise Damar has been named a Top Workplace for several years!
We’re looking for passionate people with or without experience as an ABA Therapist to join our team in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. If you have experience, you already know how rewarding this role can be. If you’re new to ABA, here’s what you need to know.
What is ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)?ABA focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. Positive reinforcement is one such principle: when a behavior is followed by a reward, it is more likely to be repeated. Through decades of research, the field of behavior analysis has developed many techniques for increasing useful behaviors and reducing those that may cause harm or interfere with learning. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior.
