Retail Branch Manager – Woodforest National Bank

Woodforest National Bank is a privately owned, employee‑owned bank that values diversity, inclusion, and community service. Our Retail Branch Manager will lead our branch team to grow customer relationships, deliver the Woodforest Experience, and strengthen community presence.

• Achieve branch sales and revenue goals by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services beneficial to the customer.
• Serve as a “Keeper of the Woodforest Culture” and energize the team around Retail objectives and initiatives.
• Recruit, train, retain, and motivate staff to ensure branch profitability, sales, customer experience, compliance, and growth.
• Develop and execute innovative strategies to grow, retain, and deepen consumer and business relationships.
• Proactively grow business deposits and loans through inside and outside business calling.
• Enhance the bank’s reputation by warmly and sincerely greeting, engaging, and building relationships with retail partners and customers.
• Lead a technology‑driven customer experience.
• Partner with a Community Development Relationship Manager to execute a community engagement strategy.
• Inspire and guide team members to reach their full potential.
• Demonstrate flexibility and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Proactive in seeking business outside the branch.
• Goal‑oriented, disciplined, and a team leader with strong interpersonal skills, sales aptitude, and comfort with outside sales.
• Open to direct coaching and feedback.
• Willingness to work flexible or extended hours to meet business needs.
• Passionate about caring for people through effective problem‑solving and a positive attitude.
• Quick learner of products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Upholds confidentiality, follows directions, and applies proper policies and guidelines.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to understand instructions, forms, applications, and interpret financial statements and credit reports.

• 5 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience.
• Or a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience.
• 1 year of experience leading and directing the activities of a sales team.
• Individuals typically report to an on‑site manager; may mentor junior staff but usually have no formal personnel‑decision responsibilities.
• Previous instore banking experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be positive and engaging.
• Preference for candidates residing within the community.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Full‑time.

Responsible and accountable for all personnel and employment decisions at the assigned branch/location.

Up to 50% or more outside of branch or as needed by the customer.

Conditions include standing most of the time, may involve walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
