We are a high-volume, Tier 1 automotive manufacturing plant. Our Avon plant is hiring EXPERIENCED PROGRESSIVE PRESS OPERATORS. These roles REQUIRE EXPERIENCE in progressive press set up, assisting with die changes, and extensive knowledge of press operation to keep our systems running smoothly.

What are we looking for in a press operator?

Responsibilities

• Must be familiar with stamping press operations (progressive presses)
• Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters
• Complete set up and adjustments of metal coils on mandrels
• Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors
• Experience using various gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other quality tools
• Complete documentation for each job, provide updates, and communicate to supervisor any issues
• Must be able to become familiar and learn various manufactured parts and labeling processes
• Experience with trouble shoot tool vs. settings

Shift & Pay

$24.50 per hour
$1.50 per hour 2nd shift premium
$1.00 per hour 3rd shift premium

1st shift - 6a - 2p
2nd shift - 2p - 10p
3rd shift 10p - 6a

Required Experience

• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); OR
• One to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
