Position: Paraprofessional I or II
Roles include: Interventionist, Alternative Classroom Placement (ACP), Library Assistant, Student/Cluster Specific
II. Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of para educator assessment, 60 college credits (100 level or higher), or an Associate's degree
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
- General clerical experience (preferred)
- Ability to push, pull, or lift at least 30 pounds
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- First Aid and CPR certification (can be obtained by the district)
- Assist in daily and long-range lesson planning
- Conduct learning exercises with children
- Guide children in working and playing harmoniously
- Alert teacher to individual needs
- Provide escort and assistance to children
- Supervise children in various settings
- Help maintain neat work and study areas
- Assist in preparing educational materials
- Attend in-service activities
- Administer assessments and tutor students as needed
- Maintain files and records
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Manage circulation and shelving of library materials
- Maintain library neatness and displays
- Assist with processing materials for purchase
- Inform about overdue books and make repairs
- Collaborate on materials for units or projects
- Complete library inventory
- Oversee library operations
Reports To: Classroom Teacher and/or Administration
Terms of Employment: 10 months, 29.5 hours/week
