Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Communicate with the project manager, fellow engineers, client representatives, and contractors regarding site, project requirements, and testing results. Transport material samples with documentation to the laboratory for analysis. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.

Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. May assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites. Adhere to strict safety standards.

• Assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties under close supervision.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy in preparation for submittal.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed.
• Progressively increase training and responsibility in work assignments.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F‑150 or equivalent.
• Follow safety rules and perform pre‑task planning; report safety issues or concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.

• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
