Overview

Housekeeper role at MCR Hotels (Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix/Avondale).

The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests.

• Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
• Use guests’ names whenever possible to make them feel welcomed.
• Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores through teamwork.
• Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
• Have strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities; be aware of all groups and events at the hotel.
• Understand and use relevant technology for the role.
• Provide friendly phone service using the approved greeting.
• Maintain spotless cleanliness and sparkling work spaces in front and back of the house.
• Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed to keep the hotel well-organized and safe.
• Greet every guest happily with a smile, by name if possible, while cleaning.
• Complete operational checklists accurately and on time; provide on-time shift handover reports.
• Wear a clean, approved uniform with nametag and maintain good grooming.
• Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with Team Members.
• Demonstrate a can-do attitude and collaborate to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace.

• Pre-Cleaning and Stocking:
  Prepare work cart, attend morning huddle, stock supplies, handle dirty linen as needed.
• Clean and Stock Rooms:
  Thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms per shift.
• Additional Cleaning Projects:
  Clean storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, and deep cleaning tasks as assigned.

• Happy Guests:
  Management performance ratings; guest satisfaction scores/intent to return.
• Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks; leadership walk-throughs; guest ratings/reviews.
• Product Consistency & Quality:
  Checklist tracking; management ratings; guest ratings.
• Teamwork:
  Management performance ratings.

• Experience in hospitality, service or consumer-facing roles preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work well under pace and pressure.
• Strong listening, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Hospitality and guest service mindset.
• Age 18 or older.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Clock-in/out punctuality and adherence to breaks; notify supervisor when calling out.

• Stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, lifting, and other physical tasks typical of housekeeping roles.
