AZ Regional HR Manager (must live in Arizona)

The Regional Human Resources Manager is expected to:

  • Protect the legal, financial and moral wellbeing of the dealerships;
  • Educate and maintain all applicable company procedures, policies and benefits;
  • Stay current on state and federal employment and wage and hour laws and recommend policy adjustments as necessary;
  • Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful;
  • Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.

REPORTS TO: AVP of Human Resources

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Must maintain current knowledge of Federal and State employment laws to work collaboratively with onsite HR Representatives to educate and ensure compliance within stores.
  • Assist to conduct and oversee personnel investigations with dealerships.
  • Assist to conduct regular HR training with management.
  • Assist Miller Automotive Operations in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for dealership employees.
  • Administer Onboarding and Recruiting System.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Work regularly with store onsite human resources representatives and store management to educate and instill human resources best practices:
    • Recruitment and selection
    • Onboarding
    • Performance management
    • Talent management
  • Work as a team with store management to focus on high turnover departments to evaluate:
    • Hiring practices
    • Management practices
  • Work as a collaborative team with HR Department to conduct thorough employment investigations.
  • Assist Human Resources Department with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Regularly utilize Larry H. Miller Dealerships Human Resources database for record retention.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • 5 years human resources experience and working with multiple managers in performance management and talent management matters, SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.
  • 5 years experience with investigation responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Webex, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
  • Public speaking experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work performed in an offices and occasional dealership settings.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% annually.
  • Must maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Record within company policy requirements.
