We are seeking an experienced professional to support the 24/7 monitoring of the data center’s physical infrastructure. The FOC team ensures that the customer experience remains optimal and gratifying through consistency, reliability, and attention to detail.
Key Job Responsibilities- Properly respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
- Perform change management tasks
- Create and issue tickets
- Follow verbal and written directions
- Have an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure
- Proficient computer and communication skills
- Required shift‑work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24 × 7 environment (includes weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime shifts)
The Facility Operations Center (FOC) serves as the centralized 24/7 remote monitoring center for AWS data center’s critical physical facilities infrastructure systems. We support availability by assisting internal teams in communicating prompt and accurate alarm and event notifications. The FOC ensures safety across all AWS data centers by enforcing Change Management policies and serving as the communication hub during emergency and normal operations.
Aboutthe Team
The FOC is a singular support team that proactively monitors life‑safety systems and infrastructure equipment alarms (e.g., chillers, temperature sensors, generators, UPSs, switch gear, breakers, PDUs, and ATSs) that provide power and cooling to the platform 24x7x365. We support Data Center Engineer Operations teams responsible for the operation of infrastructure equipment. Our role is to ensure that critical alarms are properly Responded to, Acknowledged, Investigated, and Dispatched (RAID) and to serve as a communications hub during both standard and emergency operations.
BasicQualifications
- Experience in relevant work
- 3+ years of technical support experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience documenting technical customer issues and at least 1 year of customer‑facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

CompensationThe Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $75,900/year up to $132,800/year. The National base pay ranges from $68,300/year to $152,700/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
