School-Based Registered Nurse; RN; Avondale, Arizona

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a preschool student with specialized medical needs. This contract position requires direct onsite care for a young learner who has a tracheostomy and requires frequent aspiration. The assignment spans from ASAP through the end of the  school year. The schedule follows the students class times:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:13 AM to 2:44 PM, and every other Wednesday from 7:15 AM to 12:17 PM on a rotating half-day schedule.

• You hold an active Arizona RN License
• Currently possess an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Maintain up-to-date CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience providing skilled nursing care in a school setting, with comfort supporting students with tracheostomies
• Ability to address the care requirements of non-toilet trained children
• Ready to begin as soon as possible

• Deliver 1:1 nursing support for a preschool student throughout the school day
• Manage tracheostomy care, including monitoring, aspiration, and emergency readiness
• Support daily health needs, hygiene, and coordinate with educational staff
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with families and team members
• Foster a safe, nurturing learning environment by addressing the unique medical needs of the student

This role offers a full-time schedule aligned with the students class attendance, providing rewarding continuity of care within an educational setting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and adept at working independently as the sole onsite nurse for the student.
