Accounts Technician
Location: Axminster
We are looking for an Accounts Technician to join a supportive and busy accountancy team. This role is ideal for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of businesses and has experience preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and simple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare VAT returns and bookkeeping for a range of clients
- Prepare straightforward financial statements and accounts
- Assist with general accounting and compliance tasks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Support the wider team with day-to-day accounting duties
- Participate in team projects and provide office support as needed

About You
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience; ACA/ACCA Part Qualified candidates will also be considered
- Confident preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and straightforward accounts
- Professional, approachable, and able to build strong relationships
- Organised, resilient, and able to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Comfortable using standard office software and accounting systems
