Accounts and Tax Manager

A successful and fast growing firm of chartered accountants based in Axminster is searching for an Accounts and Tax Manager to join their team. The opportunity provides excellent progression prospects, managing a wide ranging client portfolio overseeing accounts, tax, advisory services and building client relationships as well as developing and supporting the wider team and working with partners on the growing the business.

Based in Axminster this leading chartered accountancy firm has experienced significant growth. The firm services a wide range of clients, from small sole traders and partnerships to clients up to and in excess of the audit threshold in turnover on larger limited company SMEs and OMBs, and also serves a number of larger corporate and group clients with audit requirements. Joining as Accounts and Tax Manager you will manage the delivery of wide ranging services to a varied client portfolio focused on accounts, tax and wider advisory, including project work for clients across the range in size and sector, up to the audit threshold in turnover on the largest clients. You will build relationships with clients as a trusted advisor and will be supported by a wider team, playing a key role in developing, supporting, mentoring and managing this team.

You will carve an influential role in this successful, growing firm of independent accountants, with a clear route to progress for those who wish to develop beyond a managerial position in the medium and long term.

For this Accounts and Tax Manager role you will be ACA/ACCA/CTA/AAT qualified, or equivalent, with a career background within accountancy practice across accounts, tax, audit and general service delivery to a wide range of sole traders, partnerships and limited company clients. Circa £40,000 - £53,000, dependent on background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
