Air Control Industries Ltd (ACI) is an employee-owned engineering manufacturer with over 55 years of experience designing and producing high-performance industrial air movement systems for customers around the world. Our products are used across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, food production, automotive, and packaging, helping customers improve efficiency, reliability, and process performance.

As our business continues to grow, we are launching a new Engineering Graduate Scheme designed to develop the next generation of engineers and future leaders within the company. This is an exciting opportunity for two motivated engineering graduates to gain hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines within a technically strong, supportive, and forward-thinking organisation.

The Graduate Scheme

Our graduate programme is designed to give you broad exposure to engineering within a real manufacturing environment, helping you build strong technical foundations while developing commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

During the programme, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain experience across several areas of the business, which may include:

• Mechanical design and product development
• Engineering analysis and testing
• Manufacturing engineering and production processes
• Applications engineering and customer solutions
• Quality management systems
• Continuous improvement and innovation projects

You will contribute to real engineering work from the start, supporting the development, improvement, and delivery of engineered products used by customers worldwide.

Along the way, you will develop skills in:

• Mechanical design and engineering problem solving
• CAD modelling and technical documentation
• Product development and validation
• Cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and commercial teams
• Delivering engineered solutions for customer applications

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for enthusiastic graduates who are curious, motivated, and excited about building a career in engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Essential:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in product design, manufacturing, and engineering development
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable:

• Experience with CAD software
• Placement year or internship within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Interest in industrial products or mechanical systems
