PRS Auto - Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations

PRS Auto is seeking a Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations for immediate hire at the Norfolk Southern (NS) Ayer, MA rail terminal. This role involves overseeing the unloading of new automobiles from railcars. PRS is an independent contractor of the railroad, not affiliated with the railroad itself. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Job Summary:

The Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations manages terminal operations to meet customer service levels, following company policies and directives from senior management.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate automotive activities at the terminal.
  • Ensure personnel meet performance and service standards.
  • Prioritize safety, productivity, and efficiency; manage customer interactions and equipment availability.
  • Uphold safety policies and standards.
  • Handle automotive freight cost-effectively while meeting service standards.
  • Manage inventory and auto placement accuracy and security.
  • Determine manpower needs and schedules.
  • Maintain communication with management for operational improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license, pass background and drug tests.
  • Knowledge of the railroad industry through education or experience.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Leadership and managerial skills (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication skills.
    • Benefits:

    Employment is directly with PRS Auto; not with the railroad. Applicants must live within 45 minutes of the location. Out-of-area and relocation candidates are not considered. Ideal for those seeking warehouse or auto industry management roles.
