As an Accounts Senior, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to our diverse client portfolio. The position demands an approachable and professional individual who understands client requirements and delivers exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a dynamic portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and submissions.
- Preparation of sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts.
- Preparation and submission of year-end accounts and VAT Returns.
- Able to prepare accounts to review level.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
- Managing client expectations, arranging closing meetings to finalise accounts.
- Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and feedback to help them develop professionally.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure the quality of client files and audits is maintained to the highest standard.
- The successfully appointed individual will be a qualified (part-qualified) practice accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT) or QBE.
- Significant experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero/ Quick Books/ Sage).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to understand client needs and deliver professional, high-quality service.
- A dependable, self-motivated team player, able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates high levels of confidentiality and adheres to professional ethical standards.
