Management Accountant; Temp to Perm

Our client is a rapidly growing business based in Aylesbury, seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join their finance team. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function while supporting critical month-end and year-end activities.

This is a varied and hands-on position that will suit an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys being involved in all aspects of finance. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the General Ledger, posting journals, overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, and supporting the production of monthly management accounts.

• Prepare and post monthly journals.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Support the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger.
• Ensure robust financial controls are maintained across the finance function.
• Support cash flow monitoring and reporting.
• Assist with audit preparation and year-end requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and insight.

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant position or similar.
• Strong understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Experience preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Hands-on knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Strong General Ledger experience.
• Excellent Excel and systems skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
