Monday - Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm

What does the job entail?

We are seeking an organised and IT-literate Legal Support Officer to join Buckinghamshire Council’s Legal Services team. This is a varied, office-based administrative role providing essential support to lawyers across childcare, litigation and wider legal teams.

Working as part of the Legal Support Team, you will deliver high-quality, confidential administrative support in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. This role would suit an experienced administrator or a graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a legal or public sector setting.

You will achieve this by:
Providing day-to-day administrative support to legal professionals
Printing, scanning, photocopying and collating legal documents
Preparing and producing court bundles for childcare and litigation teams
Opening and closing legal files accurately and in line with procedures
Sealing and signing legal documents (hard copy and electronic)
Submitting Land Registry requests and managing legal correspondence
Acting as a first point of contact via telephone and email Maintaining accurate records and handling information confidentially
Supporting the team with general office duties as required

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
Previous administration experience or similar
Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems (training provided on Civica)
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
High attention to detail and accuracy
Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Experience with in a legal or local authority environment
