Assistant Quantity Surveyor

You will assist in managing commercial responsibilities to maximise profit and control costs.

£30,000 - £35,000

Aylesbury

• Producing weekly and monthly cost-value reconciliations.
• Capturing and allocating costs and liabilities.
• Maintaining strong, long-term relationships with internal and external teams.
• Managing opportunities and risks, identifying deviations from working practices.
• Assisting in the development of commercial tenders, offers, and contracts.
• Identifying and escalating inappropriate costs.
• Recording and tracking insurance claims.
• Maintaining accurate contract data and records.
• Capturing and reporting direct labour payments; drafting and awarding sub-contracts.
• Share best practices to drive continuous improvement.

• A relevant degree in construction or commercial management.
• Experience in subcontractor management.
• Strong commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract; knowledge of relevant construction and contract law.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present commercial information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and advanced Excel skills.
• Full UK driving licence required, as the role is based in Aylesbury with visits to other sites including Calvert.
