RoleFerrovial Construction is looking for Graduate Engineers to assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day‑to‑day activities on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. The 2‑year graduate development programme is designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of Section/Project Managers and in collaboration with the site team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the coordination of team activities to ensure projects are completed on budget and on time, following agreed construction processes.
- Ensure projects comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Support the Project Manager in team management, including advice on resourcing, performance management, employee development and motivation.
- Adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values, taking ownership of assigned work.
- Adhere to safe working practice regulations on site and ensure staff compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels.
- Degree or master's in engineering (all disciplines considered).
- Motivated to learn and add value to the team, programme and role.
- Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving.
- Proven team player who can work effectively with others.
- Proactive approach to working and learning.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the industry.
- Familiarity with all Microsoft packages.
- Highly motivated and resilient with a flexible approach to work.
- Results‑driven with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Right to work in the UK by the start of employment and throughout the programme.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Engineering experience.
- CSCS Card.
- 2‑year development programme with exposure to diverse engineering disciplines.
- Collaboration with contractors and sub‑contractors to develop effective partnerships.
- Blended training to develop technical, professional and behavioural skills.
- Progression towards chartership with internal and external support.
- Global perspective and mobility opportunities.
- Opportunities to participate in charity volunteering and innovation projects.
