We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major package delivery on HS2
This is a predominantly site-based role suited to a commercially strong QS with solid NEC experience and a background in civil engineering/infrastructure, possibly having worked on HS2 previously.
The role will focus on:- Change management and cost capture
- Issuing contractual notices
- Identifying and protecting commercial entitlement
- Recording and notifying programme impacts
- Managing commercial risk and project costs
- Working closely with site and project teams
- Strong civils/infrastructure QS experience
- Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts, ideally NEC4
- Experience with Defined Cost / Option E
- Strong understanding of change and contractual notifications
- A proactive, commercially astute approach
The project has significant commercial activity, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to make a real impact.
Freelance based around the Bucks/Beds region
