We have an exciting opportunity for a BSiL Family Hub Assistant to join our Family Hub Service.
As the first point of contact within the hub, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment for families, partners and any site visitors.
Working as part of a friendly team, you will provide information, administrative support and practical assistance to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Family Hub while helping local families access the services and support they need.
3 x Full Time, centre based, positions based in Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Burnham - 18 month Fixed Term/Secondment.

About the roleAs a Family Hub Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring visitors receive a warm welcome and can easily access the information, services and support available through the Family Hub.
Main responsibilities include:
- Greeting visitors, managing sign-in processes and providing information and assistance.
- Responding to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
- Signposting children, young people and families to relevant services and community support.
- Supporting the safe, secure and effective operation of the Family Hub environment.
- Assisting with room bookings, meetings, events and administrative tasks.
- Maintaining accurate records and handling routine financial transactions where required.
- Liaising with contractors, facilities teams and partner organisations.
- Supporting volunteers and helping with promotional activities and community events.
- Acting as a key holder and supporting opening and closing procedures.
- Maintaining safeguarding awareness and escalating concerns appropriately. This is a fixed-location role based at the Family Hub, providing direct support to families, visitors and colleagues on site.
Fixed
As a ‘fixed’ worker, you’ll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed. Typically, you’ll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.
