Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are looking for a Rheumatologist for this full time post (10PA) with responsibility for management of Rheumatology outpatient clinics and partake in the “ Rheumatologist of the week” rota (1:5).

Management of Rheumatology outpatient clinic across the hospital sites (Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury, Amersham Hospital, Wycombe General in High Wycombe) ;
Support trainees whilst you are Rheumatologist of the week (1:5) ;
Help support with the newly implemented Fracture Liaison Service

• MBBS or equivalent and MRCP
• CCT in Rheumatology
• OR Registration on GMC Specialist Register in CCT/CCST in General Internal Medicine, Rheumatology
• OR within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interview
• GMC registered qualifications
• High quality skills in general and acute medicine
• Specialty specific exam Appropriate higher degree (MD, PhD)

• General training in General Internal Medicine, Rheumatology to specialist level or equivalent
• 5 years WTE minimum at SpR level in higher speciality training
• Experience of decision making at Consultant Level
• Experience of teaching doctors-in-training and undergraduates
  
  Experience of clinical audit/research
• Experience to manage medical takes
• General training in General Internal Medicine
• Interest in subspecialty such as connective tissue disease, vasculitis, MSK ultrasound
• Research experience ublications

• Knowledge of the organisation of the NHS and the Government’s agenda for its modernisation.
