Pebble Brook School is a community special school that believes everyone can succeed. We want our pupils to be safe and happy in school. We aim to support the development of children (aged 11 - 19) with communication and interaction needs including speech, language and communication needs, autistic spectrum disorder and additional learning difficulties.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to start your career as a Teaching Assistant, gaining experience working with a range of learning needs. Pebble Brook provides you the opportunity to work closely with other Teachers and Specialists supporting the teaching of our core curriculum;
Maths, English, PE and Art followed with enrichment subjects to support students with ASD, ADHD and additional learning difficulties.

About you

You’ll need to be a team player and collaborator, sharing ideas and strategies with colleagues whilst learning from them, and reflecting on each term, seeking improvement through solution focused practice.

You will be committed to working to meet the individual needs of our pupils and confident communicating to students ranging from year 7 to sixth form.

Good communication skills with adults, children and young adults are desired, as are good literacy and numeracy skills, good written and spoken English and a good working knowledge of ICT to be able to use ICT effectively to support learning.
