Pay: £110 – £160 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract:
Part-time (2 days per week)
Working Days:
Wednesday and Thursday (essential)
Are you an enthusiastic Life skills Tutor looking for a meaningful opportunity in Aylesbury? We are seeking an experienced Life skills Tutor to join a Supported Internship Programme in Aylesbury, supporting young people aged 18-25 with additional needs to develop the skills required for independent living, employment, and community participation.
This Life skills Tutor role in Aylesbury will involve delivering a bespoke curriculum based on the four Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) pillars:
Employability, Independence, Community, and Health. The successful Life skills Tutor will deliver engaging, practical, and real-life learning experiences while helping to enhance and develop the existing programme.
Working as a Life skills Tutor in Aylesbury, you will support learners on a non-accredited pathway through RARPA, adapting learning to individual needs and promoting confidence, independence, and life skills that will prepare learners for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging sessions linked to the Preparing for Adulthood framework.
- Design and contribute to curriculum development and learning resources.
- Deliver practical, real‑world learning experiences.
- Monitor learner progress through RARPA.
- Adapt delivery to meet individual learner needs.
- Support learners to develop confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience working within an SEN, SEND, or inclusive setting.
- Strong understanding of the Preparing for Adulthood framework.
- Ability to deliver practical and engaging learning opportunities.
- Experience creating schemes of work and learning resources.
- Knowledge of RARPA is desirable.
- Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
- Creative, flexible, and proactive.
- Must be available every Wednesday and Thursday.
